Between my four new walls of Vietnamese humidity, an old mattress makes conversation with a rickety table and a few messy boxes. It's not 5-star, but I quickly put it into perspective given the situation I'd gotten myself into. And then there's that dusty old typewriter on the desk. Side by side with what looks like a whisky from the last century. The artist who used to come here for seminars must have written some pretty bucolic books,. I pour myself a glass, flirt with the idea of writing, but the bottle of scotch inspires me more. After 5 minutes and 3 glasses, I'm sketching a few throw up on the paper.
